Miramar Speed Circuit now offers an all-new track design. This new track has been designed by our professionals to challenge our racers- whether it's your first time in a kart or you've been coming to the Speed Circuit for years. The new track boasts 4 hairpin turns, 2 straight-aways and a longer, more technical course. Although the track has changed, Speed Circuit's dedication to the safety of our drivers remains the same. Passing areas have been widened, and the carefully engineered barrier system ensure a safe racing environment.   Protection Barriers: Tec-Pro has provided the barriers and is the world leader in indoor karting design and engineering. This state-of-the-art design provides a flexible safety system. Timing System: Each kart is equipped with Club Speed Timing. The Club Speed Timing device provides detailed information for each lap completed. This feature allows your friends and family to follow your lap time while viewing the TV monitors located throughout the facility. Karts: Click here to view kart specifications. Gear: Helmets, neck guards and SPARCO racing suits are available for your total Grand Prix race experience. Mechanics: Our facility has SODI trained mechanics that ensure safety and proper race quality.   You must be at least 48 inches (4 feet) tall to ride the junior kart You must be at least 60 inches (5 feet) tall to ride the adult kart Closed-toe shoes are required Wear a helmet (provided by Miramar Speed Circuit) Long hair must be pulled back in a pony tail or bun No bumping of karts or barriers is allowed Track Marshals direct the races by using flag signals to alert drivers to any changing track conditions. It is important to follow their instruction to prevent accidents. Below is a list of flags and signals: Green: Start! Yellow: Full course caution; you must slow down; no passing Blue: Passing; the fastest driver is behind you, let him/her pass Black: Penalty; return to the pit Red: Stop Checker: End of the race Our karts are made by SODI: the number one indoor kart maker in the world. The karts are designed with hydraulic brakes, custom frames, adjustable seats and pedals, and all around bumper protection. All karts feature a 6.5hp Honda engine and have been hand crafted for Miramar Speed Circuit. Thanks to a special sealant on our asphalt track and the karts soft racing tires, the karts achieve very high cornering speeds. On our straightaway, they can reach speeds up to 40 mph. You must be at least 60 inches (5 feet) tall to drive these karts. Junior karts are designed for the younger driver. You must be at least 48 inches tall to drive the junior kart.
